Ceremony honoring the Fallen. “Per the Armistice signed between the nations of a world at war, as the clock hands pointed to the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month, the ceaseless roar of shells and rata-tat-tat of gunfire that had shaken the western front for four relentless years just stopped. The harmonious ringing of bells celebrating not victory, but peace, resounding with a promise of a brighter tomorrow after so many years of darkness and devastation.”
11:30am “Skip Liberty: Shooting in Vietnam“ by Tommy Dilger Documentary Screening in the Colonial Group Inc Art Gallery

“In 1941, General Hap Arnold made a surprising and bold decision to allow civilian female pilots to assist in the effort to win WWII. For 2 years, more than 1,000 women flew military aircraft as WASP – Women Airforce Service Pilots. They flew within the US to free up male pilots for combat.”
