Little Shop of Horrors – SCAD School of Filming and Acting
May 23 - May 26
On Skid Row, quiet, dorky floral shop assistant Seymour Krelborn pines for his co-worker Audrey. When he finds a unique plant with a thirst for blood, the sinister “Audrey II” draws him further into her clutches to bring her dream of world domination to fruition. This smash hit sci-fi musical from Howard Ashman and Alan Menken — two of the minds that would later bring Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin to life — has been a favorite of theatergoers for years due to its intoxicating melodies and sharp sense of humor.
Presented by the SCAD School of Film and Acting, Little Shop of Horrors is directed by Christian Delcroix, choreographed by Assaf Gleizner, and music directed by Margot de La Barre. Originally written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, the production is presented with arrangements by Music Theatre International.
Performances will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. May 23–26. Tickets are $5 for SCAD Card holders; $15 for students, military, and seniors; and $20 for the general public.
