Juneteenth Free Family Day – Jepson Center

Telfair Museums kicks off local Juneteenth celebrations on June 10, with free admission for local residents from 10am-5pm and Juneteenth performances and activities taking place from 1­–4pm. Programming will begin at 1pm with drumming and a libation ceremony featuring Dr. Jamal Touré, followed by traditional arts demonstrations and hands on activities for young people in the museum. The event’s Gullah Geechee heritage theme will be celebrated in the afternoon’s featured performance by the McIntosh County Shouters at 2:30pm.
