At Ye Ole Tobacco Shop, customers are offered the greatest selection of imported hand-rolled cigars from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua, all grown from Cuban seed. Verdery’s House of Lamps and Shades became so large and successful that they had to build a “House” to put it in. In 1996 Verdery’s moved into a two-story Colonial style house in the heart of Savannah’s midtown, only 10 minutes from the Historic Savannah area. The home is filled with lamps, lampshades, decorative accessories, accent pieces, tassels and a full line of gift ideas. The midtown location on Eisenhower carries the Georgia Historic Plate Collection by Wedgwood, a 12-plate series highlighting Georgia’s history and commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of Georgia.
